Almeda Morgan is a Brooklyn-based artist working in digital assemblage and moving image. Their work builds densely layered image-worlds from the visual debris of networked culture, drawing from mythology, art history, cinema, games, interfaces, and found imagery.
Working through collage, accumulation, and recombination, Morgan constructs compositions from hundreds of image fragments. Their digital assemblages treat the screen as both surface and archive, where memory, desire, symbolism, and technological language gather into new visual systems.
slimebubble is Morgan’s audiovisual and VJ practice. Developed through underground music communities in Boston, Washington, D.C., and New York, slimebubble uses live video mixing to translate sound into image through color, rhythm, texture, and motion. Morgan maintains an evolving archive of original moving-image material that is recombined live using Resolume.
Morgan holds a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, with study in Art History, and an MA in Art and Museum Studies from Georgetown University.
They are available for commissions, screenings, audiovisual performances, and VJ projects.
